1. Pengenalan

2. Definisi

Namun, pemikiran itu merupakan kesilapan besar; yakni perkara paling bahaya dalam perang adalah munculnya sifat kasihan kepada musuh.
Dalam menggunakan sepenuhnya daya kuasa dan tanpa belas kasihan untuk berperang, tidaklah bermakna semua tindakan dibuat tanpa perancangan. Apabila berperang, manusia bertamadun dilihat kurang kejamnya berbanding orang gasar. Mereka tidak membunuh tahanan perang, tidak memusnahkan bandar atau daerah. Hal ini kerana mereka mempunyai sumber risikan yang lebih baik dan menyebabkan mereka bertindak berdasarkan keperluan dan tidak bertindak atas naluri dan hati semata-mata.

Chapter 1 What Is War?
1. Introduction
We need to evaluate the main elements in this subject and develop each of the available branches, bit by bit and finally as a whole with everything related - for the highest level, starting from the basics to the most complex. It is important that we encompass the whole nature of war without leaving anything out, It is also important that every branch of the whole concept be in our view.
2. Definition
We do not label war abstractly or based on what interest groups call it. The meaning of war itself has been determined, namely:
"Harsh action to force the opponent to fulfill our own will"
Violence, in many forms, is an essential element in forcing the enemy to do our will. That is the main goal. In order to achieve this goal, the enemy needs to be defeated.
3. Power
Those who feel good, often imagine that the best way to remove the power of the enemy is without great bloodshed and it is seen as the best way in the context of the art of war. However, that thinking is a big mistake; ie the most dangerous thing in war is the appearance of pity for the enemy.
In using full power and without mercy to fight, it does not mean that all actions are done without planning. When fighting, civilized humans are seen as less cruel than barbarians. They did not kill prisoners of war, did not destroy cities or districts. This is because they have better sources of intelligence and cause them to act based on need and not act on instinct and heart alone.
However, the invention of sulfur powder and the innovation of firearms, is a clear proof that the nature to destroy, has never changed even through the various periods of human civilization.
